What was the Blue stuff in the sky!!!!!!

After a week of unsettled weather we finally got a glorious day for the Semi Final's, the courses were a bit soaked but we managed to get on.

B Grade - Horizon's and Newcastle squared off at Merewether with Newcastle taking the first 2 games with Daniel Jones and Brett Hunter wining there games, but then the Horizon's team sprung into action with wins to Rob Spring, Joel Scheeberger, Darren Motram and Craig Foster got the team over the line 4 to 2, in the other Semi between Pacific Dunes and Shortland Waters played out a 3 all draw with good wins to Tony Managhan, Shane Beasley and Shaun Malone for Pac Dunes, Shortland Waters had 2 games in the bag with Ben Cox and Chad Hood winning there matches, leaving Ben Kidd to win the last 3 holes to claim a 1 up win, and send it to the playoff, fortuneately for Pacific Dunes Brendan Chapple turned the table on his match and defeated Chad at the 1st extra playoff hole.

C Grade - Pacific Dunes took on Merewether who had wins to Hayden Moller (19th) and Gary Bailey, with Pacific Dunes wins to Andrew Peacock and Aaron Jones and No1 Gary Clarke winning on the last, this left John Lane and Peter Campbell to fight a mammoth battle with John winning on the 21st hole to secure a 4-2 win over Merewether. In the other game Tanilba Bay got off to a flyer with wins to Ross Kalie and Jeff Smithson and no2 David Middlebrook had there side sitting with 3 wins, but the Charlestown team fought back to make it 3 all with No1 Phil King winning and John McEwan and evergreen Greg Chad finishing off the draw, this left Phil King and David Middlebrook to play the last with Phil coming away with the win for Charlestown
