Vale - Darren Searl
It is my very sad duty to have to inform the members of the Newcastle District Golf Association and the golfing community that we lost one of our best in the early hours of Friday April 16 – with the sudden passing of Darren Searl.
Darren was 53 y.o. but died, at home, at approx. 3.30am from a suspected heart attack.
Darren was a long term Captain of his beloved Karuah GC – creator of the very successful Short Courses Championship spanning 3 Districts – valued member of the NDGA Match Committee for many years.
His friendship and considered, considerable input will be sorely missed
