A Grade Pennant Winners for 2019

The Final for the 2019 A Grade Pennant Series were conducted on Sunday March 10.

Shortland Waters GC hosted this year's Finals

The Division 1 Finalists were Merewether and Toronto.

A good win 5 & 3 to Scott Telfer (Merewether) and 3 & 2 Wins to Josh Greenwood and Jake Riley (Toronto) were the standout results in what was a very close contest - with many matches finishing on the 19th, 18th or 17th holes.

The boys from Merewether prevailed in just about all of these close contests and ran out winners of this year's Division 1 Pennant by 5.5 to 2.5

The Merewether team was knocking at the door last year - and finally broke through for a win this year.   Toronto was left to rue another missed opportunity.

The Division 2 Finalists were Muree and Newcastle

Muree went through the preliminary round undefeated and were a clear favorite to take the title.

Someone forgot to tell the lads from Newcastle GC - and they did the job on the day.

Clear wins to Josh Robards, Ben Dawes and Bruce Hill anchored the Newcastle team's winning of the Division 2 Pennant.
